On February 28, 2023, the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals (MOASSP) hosted an Advocacy Day at the State Capital.  MOASSP Board of Directors and District Presidents were invited to participate. Dr. McKenzie joined eleven other principals from around the state to learn more about the status of current education legislation and how we can provide support to those elected officials representing our areas.

Dr. McKenzie said, “This was my first opportunity to meet with legislators at the State Capital.  It is truly an amazing process to see our government at work.  I valued the time to share all the great things that are happening in our school.”  

Dr. McKenzie was selected for the MOASSP Board of Directors in June 2022.
