JUNIOR CAMPUS TOUR: Planning for Life After High School

As juniors get one step closer to graduation, they need to begin thinking about their postsecondary plans. Logan-Rogersville High School graduates pursue a variety of successful paths—immediate employment, military service, technical training, or earning a degree at a 2-year or 4-year college. Since October of senior year is Application Month, now is the time to begin exploring all available options.

To support this process, LRHS will be taking ALL juniors on a college campus visit on Wednesday, May 7th. This trip will offer students the chance to tour academic and residential facilities, learn about the college admissions process, and experience a meal in a college dining hall. While Missouri State University is the campus being visited, it is not an endorsement—simply an example of what students might consider as they explore their next steps.

The high school will be on a block schedule next week. On Wednesday, May 7th, students will attend periods 1, 3, 5, and 7. Participants in the college visit will be released from first period around 8:30 AM to gather in the Commons and prepare for departure. Students should dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes, as the tour includes both indoor and outdoor walking. A FREE lunch will be provided at Blair-Shannon Dining Hall.

We hope this opportunity encourages students to start thinking about their future and use the summer months to further explore career, college, and service options. Planning ahead is key to a smooth transition after high school.
