Students Excel at Ozark Empire & Missouri State Fairs
It was a productive and award winning summer for some of our LRHS students. Several FFA students recently showcased their hard work and dedication to livestock at the Ozark Empire Fair and the Missouri State Fair, bringing home impressive honors across multiple classes and divisions.
Ozark Empire Fair Highlights
- Aiyanna Edmonds exhibited her Angus heifer and placed 3rd in the Open Show and 4th in the Junior Show, demonstrating consistency across both divisions.
- Kegan Buckingham competed in the Shorthorn category, capturing 1st in Class in the Open Show, a top finish against strong competition.
- Andrew Batson earned 3rd place in the Star Five Show, representing a strong performance in a diverse category.
Missouri State Fair Highlights
- Kegan Buckingham continued his winning streak in the Shorthorn breed, placing 2nd in Class in the Open Show and securing 1st in Class and Reserve Division Champion in the Junior Show.
- Aiyanna Edmonds showed her Angus heifer again, placing 3rd in Class in the Open Show and earning 2nd in Class in the PGS (Phenotype-Genotype-Show) contest, a category that evaluates both genetic potential and physical presentation.
These results reflect not only the quality of the animals but also the dedication and preparation of these young exhibitors. Congratulations to all the students for proudly representing their programs and community at the state’s largest fairs.
