State Track Success

The Wildcat Track coaches and teammates persevered through some torential rain to find success at the state track meet!
The 2026 MSHSAA Class 4 State Track & Field Championships, slated for May 29-30, were postponed to a Saturday event only due to heavy rains. The Cats rallied back on the final day to tear up the track. The Wildcats came away with much to celebrate! We are proud of these student-athletes and coaches for their hard work, dedication, and success throughout the season. Congratulations!
• Gage Hale (10th grade) – 1st Place, 400m (47.30); 1st Place, 200m (21.29); 2nd Place, 100m (10.61). Gage also made program history as LR's first state champion in a sprint event!
• Cooper Dupree (9th grade) – 3rd Place, 400m (48.87); 8th Place, 200m (22.15)
• Amelia Fawcett (9th grade) – 5th Place, High Jump (1.55m)
The Boys 4x100 Relay (Broden Cantrell, Brodie Davis, Kael Sharp, Cooper Dupree) finished in 9th Place, just 0.03 seconds from the podium and the boys team finished 7th overall out of 60 teams!
